Family Therapy
Getting all members of a family in the same space can be challenging enough, let alone getting them on the same page. Family therapy allows for increased connection to work towards that same page. In family therapy, the thoughts and feelings of each family member are held with equal importance. The therapist cultivates skill building in session to support communication between members. Our therapists allow room for familial and cultural dynamics, using those unique dynamics to guide relational growth. Past ruptures between family members will be explored so the family unit can move forward as a team.

What is Family Therapy?
Family therapy addresses communication patterns, family roles, boundaries, and the family system as an interconnected group within which all members impact others. Family therapy can involve any collection of family members: parent and a child, siblings, multiple generations, etc. The therapist may choose to meet with the entire family unit for some sessions while meeting with individuals or dyads for others in order to deepen the therapeutic work.

Benefits of Family Therapy
Family therapy can help all members involved in therapy increase access to each other's perspectives and realign under shared goals and values. Communication skills will be enhanced to decrease conflict and increase problem-solving amongst various members.
