Group Therapy
At Healing Solutions Family Therapy Center, we believe in the power of connection and shared experience. Our group therapy services offer a supportive and structured environment where individuals can come together to learn new skills, work through life’s challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, and grow both personally and interpersonally. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship issues, group therapy can be a powerful complement—or even an alternative—to individual therapy.

What is Group Therapy?
Group therapy brings together a small group of individuals, typically 6–10 participants, who meet regularly under the guidance of a licensed therapist. Each group is focused on a specific issue or theme and is designed to promote mutual support, understanding, and personal insight. Participants have the opportunity to share their experiences, give and receive feedback, and practice new ways of relating in a safe, confidential space.

Our practice has offered a range of therapy groups. Each group is led by a skilled therapist who creates a respectful, inclusive atmosphere where members feel heard and supported. Some of our most popular groups include:
-
Emotion Regulation & Distress Management Groups – Learn DBT focused grounding techniques, cognitive strategies, and mindfulness practices to manage anxiety and build emotional resilience.
-
Grief & Loss Groups – Process the pain of loss in a compassionate community, while finding pathways to healing and meaning.
-
Young Adult & Teen Groups – Focus on identity, relationships, and self-esteem for individuals navigating transitional stages of life.
We have also offered process-oriented groups that focus less on a specific diagnosis and more on self-exploration, emotional expression, and interpersonal dynamics including Art Therapy and Trauma-Informed Yoga.
Benefits of Group Therapy
One of the most powerful aspects of group therapy is the realization that you’re not alone. Sharing space with others facing similar struggles fosters a sense of belonging and normalizes your experiences. Group therapy helps participants:
-
Build stronger communication and interpersonal skills
-
Gain new perspectives and insights
-
Learn from others’ experiences and coping strategies
-
Practice vulnerability and trust in a safe setting
-
Develop a greater sense of self-awareness and self-compassion
While each person’s journey is unique, the group setting encourages connection, growth, and change in a deeply human way.
